PEN WAR BY two major news papers in ap Eenadu Vs Saakshi

The war of words between two of the largest media groups in AP is heating up. Over the past few days, the respective newspapers have been publishing news about Obulapuram Mining issue and then Vundavalli Aruna Kumar’s accusations on Ramoji Rao. But the libeling of prominent figures began earlier this week, when Eenadu news paper published a huge report on how Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy has benefited from Obulapuram Mining Company and the money trail from various other sources. In what seems to be a direct retaliation to this report on Jagan, Saakshi newspaper published on how TDP Chief, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has benefited from various scams. Both these reports have been worked out to the minute details which give the impression that it could only have been leaked by some inside sources. While it’s praiseworthy that several secrets and scams have been uncovered by investigative journalism, but this time both the publishing houses seem to have crossed the line. By maintaining their respective offensive strategies, thesenewspapers are also catering to their respective political affiliations. This is clearly a sign that they are biased towards a particular political group and the impartiality of the Press has been compromised.
