            I am by the direction of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor wish to inform to you that Directorate of Soft Skills has been established recently with Dr. N. Appa Rao, Professor of HSS as the Director.  The School is the first of its kind in India established with a vision to update the developments in the teaching methodologies.
As the JNTUK, Kakinada do not have academic staff college, it is proposed in the Directors meeting to conduct faculty development and training programmes for the affiliated college teachers to create academic ambience in the university and to bring in a change in the mind set of less trained teachers in our JNTUK system.

            It is proposed to organize a Two-Day workshop on “Dynamics of the Learner: Teaching Perspectives” during 12th and 13th December 2009 in cooperation with The Language School (TLS), Hyderabad, A.P., India. In this connection, I request you to depute one staff member to attend this programme and make the best use of the workshop.
